Characteristic

  • If load is applied in the axial direction by overlapping several internal and external rims, external rims induce compressions, elongation and friction. This spring uses these characteristics. Looking at the displacement diagram for load, the energy loss due to friction is great, showing hysteric phenomenon.
  • Spring constant can be obtained by increasing/decreasing the number of rings and changing ring.
